Policies and Procedures 

It is the Lodger’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with, and understand, the policies and procedures.

The DalMont Phoenix Foundation for Sober Living LLC (DalMont Phoenix Foundation) may amend these policies and procedures at any time and for any reason. 

All lodgers fully understand that they must be actively involved in or recently been through a treatment plan within a maximum of two weeks upon entry that consists of but not limited to: 

   a. Skill development that trains life skills to thrive in sobriety. 

   b. Education that teaches about their disorders and coping methods. 

   c. Refusal training that helps teach ways to effectively refuse substances. 

   d. Relapse prevention that teaches behaviors and or rationalizations that contribute to relapse, learning how to reduce vulnerability and recognize signs of relapse before returning to use of substances. 

    e. Family groups that reveal and address any challenges in the family system.

    f. Individual counseling therapy that consists of but not limited to: 

          Cognitive-behavioral therapy that helps reform thoughts into more effective behaviors. Behavioral therapy that helps develop emotional resilience and other life skills. Dual diagnosis therapy that helps with mental health and substance abuse disorders.

   g. Peer support groups that reinforce therapy and provide ongoing accountability. 

Any medications MUST be prescribed by a doctor and taken only as directed by that doctor. Any drug that can trigger a positive drug test or has any street value is prohibited. 

Over-the-counter medications with alcohol or other addictive substances (ex. mouthwash with alcohol) are not allowed.

Medications must be kept in the lodger's locked box. 

Strictly follow all doctors’ orders regarding medications. 

Do not abuse over-the-counter medications. 

DalMont Phoenix Foundation must be kept informed of all medications and any changes, including prescription and over-the-counter medications. If a lodger requires addictive pain medication due to accident or injury, this must be discussed with and approved by DalMont Phoenix Foundation prior to, during, and after medical care. 

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Policy 

Purpose: Establish guidelines for acceptance of prospective residents utilizing MAT while ensuring a safe and supportive recovery environment. 

Policy Statement: DalMont Phoenix Foundation recognizes MAT’s role in recovery but, due to the level of care available, cannot accommodate medications with intoxicating effects or those that pose withdrawal risks upon discontinuation. 

Prescription Criteria: 

   1) Medications Not Permitted: Prospective residents currently using methadone or buprenorphine (Subutex, Suboxone, Sublocade, etc.) are not eligible due to intoxication and withdrawal risks. 

   2) Case-by-Case Consideration: Prospective residents using naltrexone (Vivitrol, ReVia), disulfiram (Antabuse), or acamprosate (Campral) will be evaluated individually. 

   3) Other Medications: Use of other medications (e.g., clonidine, topiramate) will be reviewed based on medical necessity and impact on program engagement. 

   4) Assessment & Review: All prospective MAT residents must disclose medications during intake; cases will be reviewed with medical professionals as needed to align treatment with program structure. 

   5) Disclaimer: This policy is subject to periodic review and may be adjusted based on capacity, updated guidelines, or regulations. 

Smoking within the home is strictly prohibited. An outdoor smoking area will be provided. Personal space: 

Lack of respect for others personal space or boundaries will not be tolerated. Do not enter the rooms of others without permission.

DalMont Phoenix Foundation and its lodgers will respect and follow the traditions of the recovery community with a commitment to anonymity and confidentiality. 

 

Owners, contractors, or volunteers of DalMont Phoenix Foundation must never become involved in lodgers’ personal financial affairs. This includes lending or borrowing of money, property, or services. The only exception DalMont Phoenix Foundation may make to this is with respect to payments and fees from lodgers. 

Any emergencies or interaction with law enforcement, DalMont Phoenix Foundation must be notified immediately.

DalMont Phoenix Foundation will keep all personal records of lodgers either off-site or in a secure locked file cabinet. Only DalMont Phoenix Foundation owners will be able to access these. 

DalMont Phoenix Foundation recognizes that lodgers are significantly affected by the policies and procedures. During house meetings their ideas and feedback should be shared, discussed, and possibly implemented. 

Lodgers fully understand that grievances may be filed with DalMont Phoenix Foundation, anytime for any reason, without worry of termination or punishment to the lodger. All grievances filed will be addressed with DalMont Phoenix Foundation and its board members for a quick, unbiased resolution. Before filing, lodgers are advised to attempt to resolve the issue with their sponsor, followed by prayer/meditation. If unresolved, the grievance may be discussed with the contacts above to resolve. If a call is made to any of the contacts, a response (not resolution) will be provided within 24 hours.
